When it comes to team bonding, nothing quite compares to the adrenaline-pumping combination of axe throwing and quad biking. Recently, our team embarked on an action-packed day out that blended friendly competition with thrilling outdoor activities. Highly recommend where we went, ‘Experience The Country Milton Keynes’. Here’s a look at our unforgettable experience and how we build camaraderie at Altion Law and have a blast.
Axe Throwing: Channeling Our Inner Lumberjacks
Our day began with a visit to an axe throwing venue—an activity that’s as exhilarating as it sounds. From the moment we stepped into the designated area, the atmosphere was charged with excitement. The venue had set up lanes, each equipped with targets and an array of axes of different sizes.
After a brief but thorough safety briefing, it was time for us to channel our inner lumberjacks. The instructors guided us through the basics: stance, grip, and throw. Despite a few wobbly initial attempts, we soon got the hang of it. There’s something incredibly satisfying about the thud of an axe hitting the bullseye.
The sheer concentration and precision required for axe throwing led to lots of laughter, cheering, and playful banter. By the end of our session, everyone had improved significantly, and the satisfaction of landing a perfect throw was a highlight for many.
Quad Biking: Off-Road Adventure Awaits
After a morning of honing our axe-throwing skills, it was time to switch gears—literally. We made our way to the quad biking site, where the rugged terrain promised a thrilling off-road adventure. Each of us was given a quad bike and a helmet, and after a quick safety briefing, we were ready to hit the trails.
The quad biking course was a mix of challenging obstacles and scenic routes. Navigating through muddy patches, steep inclines, and tight turns tested our driving skills and our ability to work together. The sense of freedom as we roared through the countryside was exhilarating and a change from our usual office based day.
Team Building and Fun: A Perfect Combo
Both axe throwing and quad biking offer more than just a fun escape from our daily routine. These activities provide valuable opportunities for team building especially as we all work predominately remotely. Axe throwing encouraged focus and patience, while quad biking demanded quick thinking and collaboration. The combination of these activities allowed us to see different sides of our colleagues, strengthening our relationships and enhancing our teamwork.
